This week we get time-traveling mutants, the Rock fighting monsters, singing birds, and another Tom Cruise vehicle.
Epic New X-Men Days of Future Past Trailer
Fox just released an epic full length trailer for the upcoming movie directed by Bryan Singer (like the first two X-Men movies). This trailer shows Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) traveling back in time to the 70's to stop a war that destroys the future before it even starts. What results is a film that assembles a huge, star-studded cast, including the old versions of Magneto and Professor Xavior (Sir Ian McKellan and Sir Patrick Stewart) who share the spotlight with their younger selves (Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy) upcoming. What is most impressive is it's scope; from post apocalyptic ruins, to robots, to mutants, the trailer packs in lots of cool action and stunning visuals. I particularly liked the shots that faded between the two actors playing older and younger versions of the same roles. I feel this is the best trailer to be released since Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's made me even more excited for X-Men Days of Future Past when it comes out on May 23, 2014.

First Trailer for Hercules
Just a few months after The Legend of Hercules flopped, we get the first trailer for the bigger budgeted Hercules, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Fast 6). Directed by Brett Ratner (Tower Heist) this trailer shows off lots of of Hercules fighting CGI monsters which don't look all that creative or impressive. The Rock looks like the most interesting thing about this film, and we can always count on him to deliver a cheesy line in an action movie better than just about anyone. Still, I will probably pass on seeing Hercules when it comes out on July 25, 2014.

New Trailer for Rio 2
Here's the new trailer for Rio 2 the sequel to Blue Sky's 2011 animated film. It stars the voices of Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) and Anne Hathaway (Les Mis). This trailer showcases a really fun rendition of "I Will Survive" sung by Jermaine Clement (Men in Black 3) with lots of fast-paced gags that kids will love. It looks like the film will keep kids and parents entertained, while they can tap their feet to the catchy soundtrack. Rio 2 comes out April 11, 2014.

New Trailer for Edge of Tomorrow
Finally, we have a trailer for Tom Cruise's new time-travel vehicle, Edge of Tomorrow. It costars Emily Blunt (The Five-Year Engagement) and is directed by Doug Liman (Mr. And Mrs. Smith), and seems to have combined the premises of Groundhog Day and Source Code, then threw in an alien invasion. The film definitely has a distinct style, but the story feels very familiar. Although it seems to be lacking much originality which would make me more excited for the film, the trailer does show off some cool ideas and action sequences. Edge of Tomorrow comes out June 6th.
